At St Martins School, we recognise and believe in the importance of providing, delivering and experiencing a high quality, enjoyable PE curriculum for all.
Central to all PE activities is the core intention to promote and educate students about the importance of physical activity. Students are encouraged to develop positive attitudes to keeping physically active and taught about the fundamental role this has to play in leading a healthy lifestyle that will contribute to providing lifelong benefits of good physical and mental health and increased social wellbeing.
In providing quality first teaching of a broad and balanced PE curriculum, lessons are planned with student specific needs in mind. Lessons are made accessible to all students in the school community, allowing every student the opportunity to achieve their potential.
For those students who aspire for sporting excellence or have a particular interest in sport, health and exercise we are able to offer the option of subject related qualifications and accreditations in Key Stage 4 and endeavour to build partnerships with external sporting clubs.
